MIMS Campaign

I created a series of works for my social awareness campaign ‘Make it Make Sense’ which challenges the idea of gender roles, traditionalism, double standards that women face, and overall just things that come with being a woman that don’t make sense (hence my campaign...Make it Make Sense). Stylistically I went for a 1950s vintage aesthetic that is meant to sort of mimic those weird ads from the 1950s that were very sexist. Also, the 50s are often so romanticized yet they were also a time where traditionalism and heavy gender roles were pushed on women.
